How to run a tunnel building workshop

Getting together to build some tunnels?

Tunnel building workshops help build tunnels, communities and a strong trap network. They’re an awesome way to bring people together and grow connections between trappers. It’ll also top up tunnel supplies so you can supply everyone who needs one.

We held the first of these workshops in 2021 after finding we had more people wanting traps than we could keep up with. We’d held regular catch ups for trappers but it wasn’t the best use of time for volunteers who already gave so much. So when we asked trappers how we could best support their mahi, the answer was simple: we need more traps and we can help you make the tunnels to house them.

Read our PDF guide (4mb) on how to host a tunnel building workshop.

We hope you find this guide useful and that you can fine-tune your process over time, creating a workshop that best suits your community.

Happy tunnel building!
