Kelburn Conservation Network

About us

Kelburn Conservation Network logo

Kelburn Conservation Network was established in August 2020 and is a volunteer, not-for-profit, community effort to support the growth of native birds and bush in the central Wellington suburb of Kelburn. As a key home for many ‘fence hoppers’ from ZEALANDIA Te Mārā a Tāne, and host to the Botanic Gardens, Kelburn plays a critical role in Wellington’s native wildlife expansion.

The Network’s key focus is the establishment of a residential predator control programme, but will also serve as a coordinating channel for volunteer planting, trapping and weed control efforts in the adjacent section of town belt known as ‘Pukehinau’.

Please join us

The Network is still in its early formative phase. If you are able to offer support, host a trap in your backyard, or are willing to join the organising committee, please get in touch.
