Tawatawa Reserve

About us

The Tawatawa Reserve is located between Ōwhiro Bay and Island Bay. For over 25 years the Southern Environmental Association has been restoring the Tawatawa Reserve by planting indigenous plants. In order to protect indigenous wildlife in the reserve, the Tawatawa Trappers check and maintain predator trap lines (since 2020).
