Bird numbers soar to new heights on Miramar Peninsula

The latest Miramar Peninsula bird count results reveal a 51% increase in native birds on the Miramar Peninsula. The increase in native birds has been driven by a 550% increase in pīwakawaka (NZ fantails), a 275% increase in riroriro (grey warblers) and a 49% increase in tūī.
